The first time you visit us in person, here are some things to expect.
When you come to Christ’s Church of Oronogo, you can expect to encounter knowledgeable, welcoming people to direct you to our “First Time Visitor Check-in.” There you will fill out an information card & receive name badges with an ID code for your child. You will also receive a parent badge with the same ID code. You will be required to show this badge when you pick up your child. This ensures that all children leave with only the right people. This same ID code will be displayed in our sancuary during worship services if your child needs you during the service.
After you have gone through the check-in process, you will be directed to the age-appropriate classroom for your child. There, our trained, loving volunteers will take your child into the classroom & assist with any separation anxiety. It is important to remember that children handle this in different ways. Some children are eager to see what Sunday School is all about; others are not so eager to leave the comfort of family. Please rest assured that our teachers want your child to participate, even if they are struggling. We commit that we will contact you if your child is inconsolable for more than 10 minutes.
Our trained volunteers will do their best to answer any questions you have. We want you to feel very comfortable leaving your child with us, so that you can enjoy our worship service or classes to the fullest.
Our hall monitors or greeters will be glad to check on your child for you any time during the services.
We ask that you please assist greeters with drop-off & pick-up times by remaining behind the check-in counter. This helps lessen the chance of other children becoming upset or trying to escape.
We can’t wait to serve you!
